Behnke Nursery Spring Open House
We had so much fun on Saturday at Behnke Nurseries' Spring Open House. We were able to share information about the Public Health Garden and all the work we have been doing to get ready for our implementation in May. We had pictures of the seedlings, information on sustainable agriculture from SARE, details about the Institute of Applied Agriculture, and samples of the Landscape Architecture students' initial designs. Everyone who visited our table was excited about our project and many people even signed up to get involved and volunteer! Here is a picture of our table:
The event was excellent and informative! Also, the Spring Open House kept the feelings of spring in the air despite the cold temperatures. I even got to attend a talk by the University of Maryland Extension's Master Gardeners about Grow It Eat It to learn how to start a vegetable garden in 12 steps.
Thank you Behnke for having us! We are excited for the next event in June.
